Just came back yesterday from a fishing trip to Indonesia.

Quite relaxing but the only spoiler is that there weren't many fish there.

My Dad was kinda disappointed because he prepared like one HUGE ice box there, with lotsa fishing spare parts, really pro rods etc.

End up, caught like a few small ones only. Sian la.

But overall it's nice and relaxing la.

A short rest and I'm off to Guangzhou tomorrow.

Taking the 6.30am flight so gota be at the airport at...4? Haha.

Bo bian la..take budget airline mah. That's why have to go at these kind of niao niao times.

Other than shopping, I have an important mission on hand.

Hope everything will turn out to be as successful as I hope. :)

OK, have been damn lazy to update. So yah..haha.

Pictures of our booth as promised. Abit late la..but still..haha...

This is Mum, posing with our stuff. Many many mugs and the lanyard raw materials.

FYI, my Dad did all the shelves himself from scratch, using bits n pieces of wood, some Formica and spray paint. Impressive neh.

I did all the aesthetic work of arranging the displays and the organising the colors of the lanyard rolls. Not bad right~!

Leather products on display.
Stuff from my Dad's friend who shared the booth with us.

Me and Mum, on the last day of the exhibition.
Ok, my eyes are like twice as big as hers. HAHAHA!

Dear came down on the last day and gave me a surprise!
So sweet of him. Hehe.

Finally, the 3 days are over.

Definitely tiring but of course, if it can help boost my Dad's business, I won't mind doing it again.

Tomorrow is the start of the Giftware Exhibition at Suntec Convention Hall.

Been busy preparing for it in the last one month.

My Dad doing up the display cabinets, Me and Dear settling the brochures and website updates.

Went over to our booth this afternoon to prepare for the exhibition tomorrow.

After about 5 hours.. yes, we took freaking 5 hours to settle the displays in our booth.

Installed a few spotlights here and there, shifted things a little, put up a few signs...and we are good to go.

Aiya, forgot to take some pics. Will do so tomorrow.

Saw alot of familiar faces.

Many of those are old time clients whom I got to know during the 3 years when I was working for my Dad.

It felt kinda strange, yet familiar at the same time.

Quite a few thought that I had returned to PL to takeover my Dad's business.

Haha.

It's kinda sad but seriously, no way.

I don't mind helping him out in events like these because after all, this is something that has been with me ever since I was born.

I still remember the times when my Mum brought me along to work because there was no one to take care of me at home.

Come every 4pm, the workers will be having their daily coffeebreak (yes, coffee, not tau-huey break) and I can always smell the aroma of freshly brewed coffee no matter which corner of the factory I was at.

The adults will be enjoying their coffee and as for me, it was my milk time.

I vaguely remember scenes of me holding on to my bottle, drinking my milk and walking around the factory looking at all the different gift items, factory tools, silkscreen stencils, endless rows of shelves by the wall with tins and tins of silkscreen paints on it.

From running around and being a nuisance to everybody, I gradually got promoted to being a helper as I got older.

Packing, unpacking, counting..

Any miscalculation or carelessness in packing meant an invitation for a dressing down by my Dad.

And yes, he is not very kind. (Note: I used the word "is".)

But I guess, after helping out in the factory for EVERY term break thereafter, things just got easier.

So basically, I've been in contact with this trade for the whole of my life.

I was fed, clothed and educated through the earnings from this trade.

Probably this is what they call 饮水思源。

Guess I'll forever have this special bond with this industry for the rest of my life.

Excited about the exhibition tomorrow. Hope to meet more familiar faces.

:)

Just about a week ago, my BenQ lappie died on me.

It had been acting kinda sot for quite sometime now.

All the auto shutdowns and over heating.

So after an unsuccessful lappie operation performed by Dear, my BenQ rested in peace.

Let's have one minute of silence.

NOT!

Hehe, right after the unsuccessful operation, we went out for dinner with his parents at this coffeeshop in Avenue 8 to eat Western Food.

The food is not too bad considering it's in a coffeeshop.

My Sirloin Steak medium rare with onion rings and fries!

After dinner we headed down to Hougang Mall to look at new lappies.

Yes, the old one died and I got another new one at the same day.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand...I got this Baby...

Muahahaha...yes it's PINK!! AGAIN!!!

Gorgeous rite!!!!!

Look!! Even the keys are PINK!!

Loooooooooooove my new lappie.

Other than it being pink, it performs way better than my old BenQ.

Now I can play games on Facebook without worrying about my lappie overheating and shutting down by itself.

With a 4G ram, every application just runs damn smoooooothly.

Woohoo!

To date, I already have like hmm..many gadgets that are pink.

Hehe. I'm such a sucker for pink gadgets.

Today is my third day nua-ing at home.

Life has never been better than this I tell you.

Went to Kovan on Monday for lunch with my parents.

Fixed my heels and changed Dear's watch strap for him.

I feel like a Tai-Tai through and through.

Haha.

See see..the new watch strap I got for him!

Oh, please click to enlarge.

Haha.

This blog skin has damn little space for posting la.

All my pics became kinda microscopic on my blog.

So yah, click to see.

Tuesday was abit better..not as Tai-Tai cos I went to my dad's factory to help him settle some stuff for the upcoming exhibition.

Today was hardcore nua-ing at home. Woohoo!

Ok not all nua-ing.

Did some graphic work for my dad's website, also to prepare for the exhibition.

Tomorrow will be more fun cos I'm meeting some of the piggies for dinner!

And oh..for a secret mission too..*SHHHHHH*
